If you want to pilot the Goliath then spawn as support and stick an IDS1 on it. You'll have many RDX bunnies and Pilum wielders running up behind in your blind spot. When you see the red dots approach, jump out and shotgun them. The enemy can't enter the Goliath so it can't fall into the wrong hands.

Rorsch turrets are a pain in the *** as they can take out your regenerative panels quickly but are hard to take down with the Goliath itself. The plasma guns at positions 2 & 5 are you best defense against Rorsch turrets, either that or jump out and shotgun them.

The IDS is no excuse to not be aware, though, it can be fooled by recons with ghost packing RDX to take out panels.

what exactly is position 2 on the goliath? and is it anti infantry or anti vehicle?

I'm a bit sketchy on this so forgive me -

The Goliath has five seats. The pilot seat (seat 1) has two weapons, a type of mounted shotgun which is effective against infantry and a mine launcher for going against armour. Positions 2 & 5 (f2 & f5) have some kind of plasma weapon. This is great against infantry and useful against rorsch pilots as it seems to be able to damage them even dead on. All other positions fire standard heavy machine guns, great against troops but useless against rorsch shields.

FYI, anything can shoot through the front plates of a Rorsch... There is a bit of a gap between the gun and the plate where you can see the operator. If you have a rifle, just shoot at the guy. If you are in a vehicle with any small amount of splash damage, shoot anywhere on the front to kill the operator. Its useful for walkers, kill a Rorsch without depending on the inaccurate swarm rockets.

Try the 3 step..
Tip #1: dont die
Tip #2: kill everthing that shots at you
Tip #3 screw the Goliath and go Engie with Pilum xD

The Goliath is a teamwork making machine. Not so much for those people inside the Goliath but a team of lone wolves will suddenly work together to take it out. You may last longer in a Goliath than other vehicles but don't assume you're safe there. After all you are the biggest target on the map, don't move fast at all and are outnumbered. A watchful team/combo of gunners and pilot can own the map but people who are just taking in the scenery will quickly get you killed- so a commander should still find a safe place to hide. Perhaps at the enemy's camp where they'd never look for you.

Hmm...Not much tip about the Goliath except tell the commader to UAV it all the time. This reveals those pesty fools around it.

How to destroy Goliath with Speeder? Easy, Solo Drive! Drive seat switch to gunner, second key and fire TV. After taking out 3 batteries, go for the hull. Use speed and strafe at your advantage. Use your face, face the enemy. Do not show them your hind tail or side. Speeder can't take a punch Darn Soviet Made :P
