    Multiplayer CTD

    Okay, I have tried everything, resolution changing, reinstalling, rebooting.. So here I am now, the exact problem is this;

    I have no problems opening the game, I load the server list, I find a nice server and I click join.. Then my screen goes completely black and I find myself staring at my desktop.

    My specs are as follows;

    Processor:
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
    Memory:
    2302MB RAM
    Hard Drive:
    400 GB
    Video Card:
    NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO

    PLEASE help me!

    Chexk your settings for Antialiasing.. Make sure you let the application control it.... Other than that I can only assume it's a port thing with your router if you have one and ifnot, it could be a windows firewall issue.

        Update:

        Ok I have tried everything on your tech FAQ - and it still doesn't work. I do sort of know the problem, but not really.. and I need some closure on this.. So I have a Geforce 7900 card and I updated to Forceware 169 yesterday while i was trying some of those things and the update failed completely, I had to roll back my drivers and now I feel like I'm back at the start, with no solution to fix this problem.

        Once again, please help!

          Right click on BF2 shortcut, select properties, and change +fullscreen 1 to +fullscreen 0, this will run the game in a window and you might get an error message.
          If not, try a manual uninstall and re-install.
          It would be a good idea to update sound & video drivers before re-installing, and closing any background processes: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...p?p_faqid=8703

            delete your battlefield 2 folder in your my documents.

            restart the game

            you'll need to retrieve your account

            this fixed it for me when I had the same problem
