Keyboard Issue

Hey All, I was hoping someone has an answer for this because I don't.

Recently I've been trying to play some BF2142 and some Halflife2 on the side. But something very frustrating has been happening in both games actually. My keyboard is sticking. When I'm walking or running I'll let go of the "w" key or "s" key or "a & d" and my character will continue on in that direction for a some extra steps. It get super annoying because this is also happening now for when I goto duck or prone as well. Also my mouse is not shooting when I click all of the time but I have a feeling if I sort out the keyboard issue the mouse will be okay. Any ideas?

I've downloaded the newest drivers and software for my video card, DirectX, and keyboard and mouse. Same problem. I'm running with a wireless mouse and keyboard. Both have fresh batteries.

have you got a spare keyboard? You could then check if the problem goes away or not. Cant think of what would be wrong. Maybe you should just buy a new one...

I would suggest either disconnecting your keyboard (and mouse) then replug it in. Then try. If nothing works, then try and update....also maybe you have alot of clutter near your desk so data from the wireless stuff will not make it easily to respond in time. This is also a partial reason why i use wired stuff, because it easy to use and no risk.

you can also buy a cheap keyboard easily for 20 bucks and use it. I do and i still own.

I had a similar problem where i would suddenly drive of to the right without no input from myself.
I think the problem i had was because i use a wireless keyboard and mouse and somehow something was interfering, it was also a sign the batteries were going on the mouse.

Well I've been using the keyboard and mouse for over two years now with no problems. Its just this has come up in the past month. My batteries are fine. I have a spare wired keyboard but it sucks arse. Really like my wireless. Could a virus be this kind of a pain? I just did a sweep of my system and caught one bugger trying to get in.
