Wondering if there are any of you that have run a server in the Australia area. We are considering renting a server there as we have some members down there. They have been playing on our LA servers with their 200 pings for almost a year now and we'd like to give them something in their back-yard. Seems like there are very few providers to chose from there and just looking for your input. Thanks.

Re: Server Providers in Australia
I just stick with the local gamearena and internode servers there. I think they host for clans or whoever, not sure.
Seems some tbf2142 members are destined to be apart from the euros or americans -
Re: Server Providers in Australia
i'm sure **HYP** (hypnotic clan) are the hosts for an internode server, not positive thoughComment

Re: Server Providers in Australia
Yeah I'm pretty sure most servers are with GA, that should be a good bet.
There aren't many of us aussies on total forums but there are lots of us out here :)Comment

Looks like gamers.net has them at $122 for a 32 man. Anyone dealt with them before?

Re: Server Providers in Australia
I've found GA to be a bit unreliable when playing on them compared to other servers like Internode, crashing every now and then - don't know what it is. Doesn't happen too often, but annoying when it does. There's quite a few NZ hosted clan servers, never had a problem.
This is only speaking from my experience however, I only get to play a couple of times per week and I'm not in a clan :)
Oh and it looks as though it's $124 if you're a BigPond customer, which I would expect you're not being from the US! See if there's someone from Aus in your clan who has BigPond as their ISP if you go with GA. YOu'll then be able to take advantage of the offer. It's $155/m if you're not.Comment

Re: Server Providers in Australia
Thanks for the tip. I have one admin that lives in Adelaide but I don't know who he has. We won't be moving forward with it until we pick up a couple more members but he is talking to some of the players on his buddy list from down there that he plays with a lot.Oh and it looks as though it's $124 if you're a BigPond customer, which I would expect you're not being from the US!
