Its pretty simple,If you love immense strategy and unit depth then get COH.If you want some hardcore multiplayer and lots of action with teamwork then get WIC.

Coh. I dont understand WiC, is there any point in any mirco or anything? i mean everything dies every 2secs and respawns and that makes the gameplay really boring fast.

I prefer strategy over effects. Perhaps you prefer effects over action?

Sorry mate but there is far more action in WiC than there is in CoH. Non-stop action is WiC's selling point. There is no base building so the game is never slow your never farming. There is a great deal of tactics and skill in WiC but if your going to just take it at face value you'll never see or understand them.

It's all down to preference if you like a "traditional" RTS game, similar to AOE then go for CoH. If you fancy something different give a WiC a try.

They are both great games. It really depends on what you like, WIC has a demo out which you can download and play, I personally prefer WIC, I played most RTS games on the market, and WIC is something different then the others.

I wouldn't say that. I played the WiC beta much, with voip, the great tactic commands and so on and was always under the first three players with my tanks, being appreciated by others for my tactics. It's more of...WiC is Micromanagement, CoH is Macromanagement... This is the point that divides the two games I think

I played WiC, the only good point i see is the MP, i played SP and got bored out of my mind, sure it was awesome with the effects i liked the units and all, but its all attack and no defend and plan while i was playing it in SP, and the skirmish was an absolute downfall to me.

CoH is better imho, your controlling CPs, pushing forwards, plus the campaign is much more challenging, i can rly get owned sometimes. (as ever1 may have suggested TexasRebel just get the demos and try them )

COH is macromangement but involves micromanagement once a regiment/attack force is made.

I don't wish to show that COH has more work, but truely, WiC uses more tactics in a sense you do really have to think how to use resources.

CoH has a lot going on that you dont think of all the time.


Cover - a great game feature and makes a huge difference during the game.
Income - deciding what points you need to cut so you can strangle your opponent.
Doctrines - using the different doctrines to your advantage.
Races/Teams - learning what play style each team has and how you win against them.


You have to make a tactical decision when making buildings from the start and thats what i love about it.

I agree i think CoH is much more of a thinking game both in SP and MP be it skirmish, LAN or online. I mean WiC is an easy game, skirmish was not that fun MP would be the best factor along with its gfx although keep in mind CoH DOES indeed has a good rate of gfx in it.
