Setting up a Custom Ranked / Custom Map server

I am about to purchase a 20-man private COD4 server from MyIS to run the custom ranked mod and custom maps. Once I put in the order, how do I go about setting up the mod and uploading maps to it?

MyIS I believe has a "Mod Install" where you click whichever mod you want on your server and it automatically installs it for you.

Now, I do not know how often they keep track of mods due to there always being newer releases. If it doesn't have the most up-to-date version of the mod, you can go find the mod online (Most likely doing a search). Some mods to look for would be "AWE4 1.3" or "ACE" if you want it to be similar to stock gameplay but still very customizable.

If thats the case, the mods are very easy to install and give you good instructions. You would just go into your servers FTP and go into the "mods" folder. In there, create a folder called awe or ace or whatever mod you use, then put the files in the mod. The .cfg's are configurable so make sure you open up each one and set it up the way you want (Server Name, Maps, Customizable Stuff...etc) Once you're done with that on your desktop in Notepad, save and upload into the mods.

You need to make sure your path for your Command Line is also correct for the server. The correct addon to the path +set fs_game Mods/pam4 .. Granted, where it says "pam4", replace that with the name of the mod folder that your mod is located in, like "awe" or "ace" for example. Restart your server and it should be all setup. Mods like AWE and ACE have their own Ranking System which is slightly customizable in the Configs so just read and it'll be self explanatory.

Patton is right, although when I tried to use PAM4 on the BFE servers, it basically just creates the PAM4 folder... you have to manually download the mod and upload it into that folder - but what the game parameters do is set the fs_game to PAM4 - If there's a mod that isn't on the list, you can always contact someone in MyIS to get it added to the list.

I am still trying to get everything set up. I have a couple questions, what's the modwarfare mod? I play on 3 servers that use what they call the custom ranked mod and my ranks/perks that I gained on them transfer to each server. That's what I would like to set up on our server but not sure what mod this is, now all the major mods are listed on my server control panel but nothing called customranked, I'm wondering if it's modwarfare?

I hosted the map downloads on our website and have the redirect set up. I have the server config in my mods/custommaps folder, along with the .iwd files for the maps I have put in there.
