radial.cdb file and Mods folder

from what this guy says it seems that renaming the radial file would be the same as getting rid of it.

then with deleting everything in the Mods/Cache folder for graphics once in a while what would cause problems by just deleting the mods folder?

I believe the radial.cdb will be addressed in the upcoming 1.5 patch.
