1.4 Patch

hello fellow COD playas,

I am new to this pc gamimg community. I am trying to load the 1.4 patch and it is telling me that i do not have a valid COD4 game installed. This is a fresh copy. just installed. I cant install 1.5 unless I install 1.4. Reason for all of this is because I want to play the new created maps that are out. Can some one help!!!!

I would try reinstalling your game. Make sure you install PB..etc. Make sure you install the necessary patches prior to 1.4 as well, which I think may only be Patch 1.3!

Try that first (Installing the patches prior to 1.4)

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again. Also 1.3 patch is installed. Still tells me that there is not a copy of COD4 installed.

Is your game located here:
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

Hmm, return the game and get another copy if you can. I have absolutely no idea why it would be causing this. Does 1.3 work? Does it just stop working at 1.4?

1.3 works it just stops at 1.4

Try downloading the 1.4 patch again from a different website.

where did u download it from ive tired to dl it from 5 different sites now and yet i have not found any that works.

im on 1.4 atm.... but waiting for 1.6 ^^ so i suggest you wait for 1.6...
