I can't actually remember seeing any ads in this game what so ever but I'm usually to busy keeping track of my enemies so I wouldn't notice anyway

And the ads us suppose to be in the 'battlefield 2142' folder in My folders...
I don't think V is a letter in the Cyrillic Alphabet... And I can speak some Russian. The letter for "V" looks more like a "b". There isn't any letter that looks much like a V (or a "D", the letter "Deh" looks like a piano).

Yes and No. AFAIK the file contains information about the ads which are needed when the game load. However it needs to be updated with new ads which can cause it to become corrupted, halting the load of the game. Deleting it make BF2142 recreate it from scratch without the corrupt data.
