Max players on LAN (for PC)?

I am hosting a LAN party with 20 computers on Saturday... and i just remembered to ask: Can CoD4 actually play for 20??? on a LAN?

Please tell me yes!:nod: Or tell me how i can make it work!

Also, suggestions on how to setup the games would be helpful: what are good game modes for 20? are some maps better than others? I am coming from playing a lot of BF2, so i am interested in playing the domination mode. Is the Headquarters mode any good?

Any tips or guide for noobs ? (it will be the first time we all play CoD4 on a LAN, some of us played the single player only)

also, what do i do to take screenshots during the game?

I have no experience with LAN and that stuff, but I do know that you take screenshots with F12. :p

It should be able to run 20. If you can, you want to have a computer running as the server and not also be a machine people play on.

Ive never setup CoD in the LAN, but played with the settings and it seems pretty straight forward.

As for maps, you would probably want the larger ones, but you can change them whenever you want. Everyone take a break and you make some adjustments.

With 20 people, I would like Vacant, Crossfire, District, and Backlot. For those crazy moments you could throw in Countdown, Strike, and Shipment.

I would not suggest domination. COD4 domination plays a lot differently then Battlefield cap the flag mode. It tends to just create 3 areas that everyone shoots at and since you can kill through walls its not all that fun.

HQ is nice, but it can get old after a few rounds if you don't mix it up since its biased towards the capturing team and sticks the new HQ right next to their spawn.

Team Death Match is probably the closest to BF style game play although there are no flags involved.
