well the scattergun sucks even though i aim really well from 5 feet away i got killed by a med needle gun. and i cant flank bc the sentries rip me apart

The scatter gun takes a fine skill of aim. I find that I have to aim just a little bit infront of the target to get all of the scatter shells into him. I'm not a big fan of scout really. The scatter gun reall isn't that accurate.

Sentries rip everything apart, you have to find a different route.


Also, you said you're new. Just get used to it. Remember it takes alot of bullets to kill in TF2.

The scattergun owns the closer you get, use your speed to get close, jumping over and around the target and if you can point blank shoot the ****ers and they will go down so easily (be wary of pyros though)

then use the pistol when you start to enter long ranges, the pistol is also useful for edging sentries etc

Just dont stop moving, try not to get caught up by soldiers in cramped areas and use flanl/suprise attacks

if you sneak up on a heavy double jump on his head and then kill him unless you get crits he will most likely turn around and mow you if you start scattering him, unless he has a low mouse sens in which case hes boned

just practice the twitch shooting and people will fall all over the place

Scout is perhaps the class that requires the best aiming together with the sniper. But if you're a sniper you're generally at the back far away from your enemies so you don't really have to have good aim with that to survive.

Practice twitch shooting, and use the double jump to your advantage. Always make sure you have a medpack/medic/dispenser ready when playing as the scout, and you'll do fine. Only attack pyros if you come from behind and they don't have any teammate to back them up. Soldiers are pretty easy as well if you constantly change direction and spend most of your time in the air.

If you come up against a whole bunch of enemies and you have no chance to escape, I usually run straight into them while blasting with the scattergun and switch to the baseball bat when I get close. Many are the times I've clubbed down 3 enemies in a row without taking any damage. You need a little luck though

I love the scout class in TF2, I think its mainly because of the speed and being able to run in and bat people over the head and escape before anyone knowing I was there :p

The best way I've found to kill with the scout class is to keep running around the target, you were given speed so you should use it to your advantage. If your loosing the fight, just get out of there and go and heal

I love the scout as well, he is right up there with the Pyro as the best classes. What everyone has said is pretty spot on. The scattergun can devastate up close and the pistol should always be used at a distance.

Its also a great class for harassing snipers on maps like 2 fort. Use the pistol as you run the bridge to bump their aim, then double jump to their ledge and scattergun them to the face :yay:

And yea, avoid sentries like the plague lol.
