VOIP for idiots

hi all

(sorry if this isnt the right section)

could someone help me (like point links if i need to d/l anything) and give me a quick guide how VOIP works?

it sounds interesting..

i like the system in the game but it def. needs more options .. ex:

you can :

j- chat to everyone
k- chat to your team
l- chat to your squad

you should :

(keys just an exemple)

b- chat to your team (who could have to be close would still be useful)
n- chat to your squad
m- chat to all squad leaders (squad leaders only) like commander have

When your SL/SM:

B - You talk to your squad
V - You talk to your commander when your SL

When your commander:

V - You talk to all squads
B - You talk to the squad(s) you selected in the commander view.

yeah i know but you should be able as a SL to talk with other SLs at least

wait a minute ...


are you saying THATS the voip?? (the basic system?)

i thought it was something that worked separated from bf2 that you needed to d/l!!

like some kind of "voice chatting msn that worked in the game" ...

if voip means headset + b/v keys ... ill feel stupid :p

Yeah... You dont have to download anything.

And yeah VOIP = Headset + B/V keys:p

EDIT: No one in BF2 uses VOIP anwyays:|:

i ask for help to clarify something i clearly misunderstood and i get laughed at ...

i know it must have sounded stupid for ppl who play 40+ hrs a week of bf2 but unfortunatly i dont have that kind of free time ... even if i did ....

anyways laugh all you want, sticky it if you want! its not like i give a sh*** that i get laughed at by some ppl on a game forum im never gonna meet ..

but yeah .. keep making fun of ppl and then wonder why theres almost no one left on this forum ....

Speaking of the BF2 in game voice chat, I came across this on PBF not too long ago.



It really is tough out there, either you hear a second of static or the person's mic volume is loud enough to make your ears bleed, especially bad when it is the commander and he doesn't fix his mic no matter how much you ask.
