well i was trying to just walk through the process of buying NS up until i came to that page with the button that says "put in my cart" or whatever it says.and i came to a page that said EA Link was replaced with the EA Store.has anybody had any issues buying NS from the EA Store?

No, I prefer this new system, the old EA Link program was such a piece of crap, now the EADM (EA Download Manager) does just one thing, downloads and manages the games you buy in the store.
I just bought NS from the store no problem, and then downloaded my old copy 2142 I bought when the game came out both with the download manager. No problems for me, except be sure to backup your copies so you don't have to pay the extra cash to get EA's ripoff service of being able to download it again for 2 years. Something that should be free.
Also you have to re-install the latest patch after installing NS.
