I wouldn't say it's more realistic at all with the blast radius compared to a real M-203/GP-30.. Not trying to argue with ya, just Google the blast radius of these rounds.

I still love and use it though, just wish it was how it was before or a little more powerful. I think I spend more time with it out than I do the assault rifle when assault. It damn sure takes care of clearing snipers and auto-proner support guys.

Hmn.. The kill radius of a GL round IRL is 5m (correct me if I am wrong, and maybe post link to a site).. But as far as I know, it is 5m..

In BF2, the explosion radius is 4.5m... That means almost 5m, so it is quite good..

And it is more realistic now after Patch 1.2 as it bounces, and as I said in my previous post, the explosion radius wasnt changed that much..

Anyway, I like the GL in BF2 as it is now..

You can choose between various Grenade Launchers in the list to the left..

If you choose the GP-25/GP-30 in the list to the left link (clicky), and look down on that page, you will find this:
"Effective damage range of blast/fragments is about 5 meters."

That means that when your 5 meters away from the explosion, you have 80% chance of dying. The shrapnel(sp?) can still hit and kill you even if you are 30 meters away.
