when i load bf2142 it sounds like bf2 and then when i minomize i cant hear any sound from my headset

They are installed in different locations, so it's impossible. It would also mean the MD5 checksum would be wrong (I think it's called MD5?)

i think my headset has gone dead gunna get a new one

i wont be able to make a fraps cos my mic is broke =)

but its like i play bf2 fine go to 2142 my sound is all weird
then i go out and my headset only works when i put my head sideways lol

It's not real. It's just a bad connection which means the sounds isn't picked up properly.
