Agree....should be on DVD. Shouldn't need to activate when it is written on DVD case, Includes Northern Strike.

Finally, EA got my purchase deluxe with NS to work. They took my user name, from the original and moved it to the deluxe. Had to give em my previous BF2142 code number, along with the deluxe Code number.

The maps are so sweet, just beautiful, awesome.

Same thing actually happened to me when I made my new account, deluxe pack didn't activate NS, so did the exact same process through EA support.. I gotta admit that their support was really, really fast though, within 6 hours of making the ticket they had activated NS for me.

Well, after playing the deluxe, and thinking all is fixed. Lately been getting error messages (then out onto desktop), and PB error messages during online play. Kicked out of servers (PB error). I then went to EA again, telling em the problem. This is their reply.

I am now making an awareness that anyone that looks into purchasing BF2142 deluxe, be prepared to encounter nothing but problems. Can be an awesome game.

yeah, been out for nearly two weeks without one round in either BF2142, NS. Reinstalled windows-XP (4x just to at least get BF2142/deluxe to work), played with the BIOS settings, updated everything. Now I am not able to get my purchased BF2142/deluxe to work. Well, I can log in, see/adjust my settings. But soon as I get into a server (after map loading), the computer reboots without an error message. When I try a single player, game closes, and I find myself looking at my desktop, with a error message (attachment). One installion I did install my other version of BF2142 (not the deluxe), and same results. Updated punkbuster. And nothing. I guess my BF2142 days have come to a halt. :cry: I have contacted EA, and they tell me things I already done, and I am getting repeated things to do. But, today I decided to leave the system installation the way it is, because wow, it sure functions way better than before (4 years of not reinstalling windows on this system). I see an increase in other game performance (Command and conquer 3:Tiberian wars), but only problem I have is Bf2142.

Suggestion: If a previous user of BF2142, and wanting to move into the deluxe, you will encounter problems with EA, and also the game. Create a new account and username, start fresh. If your new to Bf2142, get the deluxe. Bf2142 with NS is well worth it. I should have stayed with BF2142 and not to the deluxe (or created a whole new account and username), and waited for a single copy of NS only. Also, be aware, you will have to activate NS through internet to play the maps, add-ons.

Curious why doesn't EA have a Video setting 2048x1024 in BF2142. What are they using?

When I go to activate my game, it says I have no eligible screen name. When I try to make a new one, it says my e-mail address is already in use. So which one is it? **** EA. They make things even more difficult than Windows installations and activations.
