A poll for those NON jet pilots.

If you are like me, and don't use the jets, do you dislike them? Since I don't use them I find it really annoying to find myself getting bombed, then spawn and get bombed again because of how you just fly over the base to reload. I like realism, and I do play PR once in a while, but I recently been playing BF2 again for some reason. I really find the jets sometimes making me want to stop playing, I hate them. What ever is around, missles or what ever, I guess it's because I suck, but 80% by the time I get on it, the jet is far away, I wait, then get off, then get bombed 25 ft. away. Ehh, ok I'm just going on now, but do you think the jets are AGGRAVATING?

So if you are mostly land based player, do the jets make you angry sometimes?

Being on a laptop with a wireless connection (mousepads are tricky to fly with and the wireless cuts out every couple of minutes for a second or two) I very rarely fly jets. I'd crash after a few minutes.
The only time I really get annoyed by them is when the enemy has control of all the air CPs so you don't have much defense against the jets.

As a hardcore squaddie I hate them. When there's absolutely no defense against them, since nobody on your team can fly and the AA doesn't work, it makes life miserable for anyone on the ground.

I hate Jets with a passion and are the main reason why I moved to Infantry only servers, even before the game mode was officially available and one of the main reasons why my clan stopped playing BF2 completely.

Why don't you people play an infantry only game like CSS or COD? Why bother with a wargame that boasts its awesome vehicles if you're gonna only play infantry?

This concept confuses me.

I wish they had a vehicle only filter on the server list. Almost every bloody Karkand server is IO.

But, I usually stick to BF2 IO because besides of hating geting raped by the vehicles I don't like to use them. I never played CSS or CoD but from what I've seen both games are to fast paced for y old eyes and fingers. BF2 seems to have the optimum gaming speed for me.

And yes, having a filter for "vehicles" would be awesome!

Last I checked I didn't think the players who use vehicles disliked playing infantry as well. I know for me, I thoroughly enjoy the infantry aspect as much as the vehicle aspect, thats why I play a wargame.

And dude - there's nothing more gratifying in BF2 than to walk up to a tank with a medpack in your hands, and have some noob in the tank jump out thinking its C4 and giving you his tank! I mean - that just can't be done on IO!
