Yeah, I try not to revive someone if there is an immediate danger still lurking nearby. When I was a noob I would revive people, even if there was a nade or enemy soldiers still nearby. Now I know how frustrating it is to be revived only to die right away because some noob revives you without eliminating the threat first.
Is it me or do some people take this game way to seriously?

Well... when iam a commander i usually help the squad that dose the best work. You should always keep your assets rdy when you squads are in the hot zone, especially EMP for walkers and tanks. Theres nothing more satisfying then a commander that actually give you what you need when you need it. IMO you shoulda probably gived that guy what he wanted since it was your job. And usually when someone ask for something its because he knows what he is doing and it probably of the best player in your TEAM. when i play as commander I dont see alot of ppl asking for Sdrops, UAV's or EMP's but when they do I am rdy to give them what they need... well most of the time. And yes it can be very annoying when you lose 4 time in a row because your team plays like **** holes..
I sometimes get emotive to this game :cussing::cry: :wall: :censored:

I think this whole "taking it too seriously" is an interesting phenomenon.
In a way people act as if they were drunk. I mean that the physical "immunity" given to them by playing online (or the false sense of it given by alcohol) tends to bring out the worst in many people.
When people don't have to be afraid of getting their butts kicked in real life, many of them start to assume the very worst of their fellow players. What ever in the other players' actions they cannot fully understand or agree with, they see as an "insult" and a reason to get their day ruined for them.
Even in real life studies it has been shown that granting a regular Joe the power to give someone a hard time without the fear of immediate revenge, that Joe will start to look for reasons to use that power even in the smallest things.Comment

LOL - I've got the t-shirt for that one, many a time.Originally posted by RichardDawkinsi'm starting to think the more you play the more you expect of others and yourself. i went ape**** at the screen last night and felt like a div afterwards.
To be fair, I think as your in-game time increases, you get more impatient and intolerant of people trying moves or situations that you know just won't work. Walkers going down side of cliffs when you're the AA gunner - newbie transport pilots trying to fit through that 10ft gap, etc.
To this day, I go insane when the top turret gunner of my tank or walker starts firing at another tank or walker in the distance - therefore alerting him to my presence. I kept quiet for a reason you pillock - now you've just shown them where we are!
Still, we all have to learn and at the end of the day, its only a game. Being serious is part of 2142's appeal, but also having fun with it too.Comment

Or when they can't spot and shoot the freakin gunships!!! "Learn to run the AA or get out" has come out of my mouth more than once.Originally posted by UnzenTo this day, I go insane when the top turret gunner of my tank or walker starts firing at another tank or walker in the distance - therefore alerting him to my presence. I've been playing multiplayer FPS games since like, forever. For me, venting anger and frustration, hating on people, and smack talk is half the fun. I'm 26 now and this still hasn't changed.
My favourite thing to fuss about in this game is uneven teams. Everyone thinks even teams is just a numbers thing when it ain't. It's about distribution of talent. If I'm on a team that just won the last round by 200 or more points- I'm switching. If I'm already on that losing team- I'll ***** at the certain people who know they should switch and stop "farming" easy points off the noob team.Comment

I can't help myslef, I play as hard as I possibly can, all the time. It's just part of the way that I enjoy the game. Fortunately, I have a pretty good tolerance for new players, but I have a very very VERY low tolerance for ppl who actually hinder my game play. I'm talking to you Mr. Useless Titan Spammer Guy! Yes YOU the one that just team killed me AGAIN when I was trying to take back that silo! Those and the useless knobs that get into my walker's F2. Alone, i can fend off even good gunship pilots, with a quick shield and switch to the F2. But I always wind up with some clueless nub, who can spot an enemy tank 3 miles a way, and plink it uselessly to get it's attention, but can't see that gunship hoveing 4 foot behind us pounding us with missiles.
In fact, I have a list. Here's the people in this game "that are on my team" that annoy me the most.
useless titan spammers (see above)
useless F2 gunners (see above)
the guy that spawns into the transport sitting on the back of the enemy titan, and decides to take off with our only spawn point...
the same guy as above, only this time he's jacking the only APC in range
ppl who sit in titan pods
the people who pod out of your transport 3 feet from the ground as you're landing it, then PUNISH you like you could help that they died...
the guy that swipes the jeep, and doesn't let anyone in, just takes off like a bat outa hell, while 5 guys stand around yelling "I need a lift"
vehicle swipers
support/medic players who will not resupply/heal you. I understand that sometimes your box takes a sec or two to spawn, but if I don't get some kind of recognition "sorry man/no can do/ect" I'm eventually gonna teamkill you, take your kit, and get what I need
