Yup, it would have no bunnyhopping :)
Hi, my name is Dairuka and I bunny hop.

We have a no bunny hopping rule, but we mean bunny hopping as jumping around nonstop, like in BF2.
Bunny hopping in CoD seems to mean when someone jumps around a corner or when getting hit, jumping and turning around to fire. To myself and my other clan mates, thats not bunny hopping.
It doesnt matter though, everyone is going to complain about something. The game could have one gun, two pistols and some grenades and people will still gripe on how the pistols are used.

YOU SIR ARE A LEGENDOriginally posted by DairukaAnd dolphin dive, and prone spam, and cook grenades, and use juggernaut, and use extreme conditioning, and use the M16, and use the MP5, and use the M4, and use the .50 cal, and use flash bangs, and use stun grenades, and use smoke grenades, and use quite literally everything else in my arsenal to kill the enemy at the highest efficiency possible.
I'm sorry you dislike my tactics. I'm sorry you dislike my childish inoffensive passive aggressive attitude. I'm sorry you think I aim-bot. I'm sorry you think I wall hack. I'm sorry you think I have some sort of perma-UAV up. I'm sorry your shots didn't register as well as they should have as a result of latency on your end.
Theres just nothing you can do about it. Deal with it, and stop crying. Maybe the reason I win so often is because I use every tool in my utility belt to pull off a win against insurmountable odds. Maybe you'd do better if you tried to do the same.
I'm sorry if you think this is a boast post, but it's really a result of frustration - I got too close to a clan, and somehow they turned their back on me simply because I used tactics which they frown upon. I'm just ventilating. If you don't like the content of this post, then feel free to ignore this post and move on, it'll be second page bait soon enough. However, if you share my anger, feel free to use this post to ventilate yourself.
Edited: I'm sorry you dislike my grammar.Comment

Ah, well I actually like when people are constantly reminding me not to bunnyhop. I don't get it, on servers that where no bunnyhopping is allowed I usually just desertrathop.Originally posted by DairukaIf your server rules include the words, No Bunny Hopping I'd leave it long before you'd even have a chance to ban me.
If your server rules didn't include those words. Well, I wouldn't want to play on your crappy server anyways, now would I?
Also, I do it without steady aim.. an MP5 doesn't need it, deadly silent bunnyhop ftw :yay:Comment

To prevent a player from using a part of game play like jumping, crouch, prone, or running as they are the same thing no matter how you look at it is pretty much making them play a different game than they have loaded. You don't want these things then mod the game and promote it. I don't think you will get many takers as its just not a FPS when you can no longer run-and-gun or jump-and-shoot. Your taking the lack luster feel of fun from a player when you add stupid restrictions to game play period.
Dairuka is the kind of player we should all be like to enjoy these games and the abilities they gave you when you made the purchase or did the official upgrades...if you don't like it then I suggest you go play WoW or even Solitare cause FPS gaming just isn't for you.Comment

I get kicked from "no bunny hopping" servers even if I don't jump.. Their reason.. I bunny hop. What? What's their definition of bunny hopping, not being able to shoot me as I run?
I try not to bunny hop in those servers, because usually they are pretty bad shots.. so there is no need to. I mean theres the occasional jump because someone pops out at me, you can't stop your instincts.Comment

I think its a mixed view of bunny hopping. A lot of different games came together in CoD4. You got BF2 and 2142ers along with CS:S and UT players. On top of that you have origional CoD players. All different.

I'd think that some of these discouraged ways in which the game is played are not problematic in of themselves, but are so because of the mechanics of the game/system. For example, martyrdom, albeit annoying, isn't that annoying in of itself. If you kill a guy and sprint far away afterwards, his grenade can't kill you and his perk is in effect useless. However, because CoD4 has such small maps, and some places can become very cramped, especially with teammates blocking you from moving, martyrdom can be very effective. Thus, it elicits a massively negative response.
As for bunny hopping, in of itself, it's not that difficult to deal with since, as some have noted, once you train yourself, you can take them out in midair. However, because bunnyhopping and dolphin diving can affect hitboxes and shot registration/accuracy, it makes it more difficult to target these players and thus once again elicits a negative response.
Still, bunny hopping, martyrdom, n00b tubes, nade spamming... whatever may be complained about, I feel that these can be avoided and countered... it's just that because of the way the game is made and functions, it makes it more difficult to do so, and that's why people complain.Comment

This is true...
I try to play the way a pro would play in each game I play... I have movement down... but I just can't aim as perfect as them.
I'll play CoD2 and be all crouch walking and making jumpshots... but I miss so bad. Its like I'm half pro. xDComment

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but bunny hopping became detrimental to you by code in UO. In the big patch that changed a lot of stuff in UO, one of the things that changed was that your hit damage taken when in the air was greater than if you were touching ground. This was to prevent bunny hopping. I do not know if IW has kept this due to the fact that Grey Matter made UO and of course the aforementioned patch also. But in previous CoDs, it also helped to jump around a corner and shoot with a rifle usually resulting in a headshot.
I bunny hop sometimes and it annoys people, but why the fuss? It actually hurts me more b/c I'm a target for all to see "Look at me, look at me" Plus, it seems as though I receive more damage when in the air, so I think that might still play into the game, the coded damage that is. I don't b-hop as much as I used to b/c you don't really need to in CoD4 like you did in the WWII CoDs.Comment
