Too bad I'm not remorseful for what I do.

I'm proud to be a skilled bunny hopper. It gives me an advantage. It pits me on even terms with other bunny hoppers - and it allows me to avoid or come out of situations that would've otherwise gotten me completely decimated.

I've spent the better part of my career teaching fellow clan-members and friends how to bunny hop and dolphin dive like the pros do in BF2. I've never considered myself anything more than an amateur - but I am definitely one who has played a considerable amount of time against the pros. They taught me how to bunny hop.

I'm spending a good part of my time teaching friendly people my many secrets to success in Call of Duty 4. I've never played competitively on CoD4, and I don't really know any pros beyond the ones that came from BF2... but after watching enough videos, I'm convinced that I'd fit right in. Although they might have issue with me using perks, since in most leagues perks like Juggernaut, Stopping Power, Steady Aim and Extreme Conditioning aren't allowed.

If you don't like me bunny hopping. Fine. Deal with it. It's not my problem, it's yours - and you're the one who needs to either conform to or counter it (A good twitch gamer easily beats a good hop to prone.) If not, then sit back and enjoy the thrashing, or pick up a n00b tube.

If you can't do either, whining or banning people isn't the right way to go. Especially if your server rules don't include the words no bunny hopping. I leave those servers right away anyways.

Right on sir, I just made a post against whiners in this same area of the forum. I didn't see your post before as I was determined after some gaming last night to write my post this morning. Freakin' a, people need to play the game and not try to constrict it with rules b/c they do not have the necessary skills to combat your actions.

I loved this one server that said no bunny hopping...ah it was a great moment. This clan member of the server got killed by me and said no bunny hopping. (this was on downpour next to the big cylindrical drums) I said, "Oh, I didn't bunny hop, I just jumped up on to the little wall so I could turn around and shoot you." He says, "Okay"...wow, couldn't even catch my sarcasm lol.

My G15 gives a whole new meaning to bunny hopping... but that's not my style. I crouch in a corner a lot.

I have no problem with bunnyhoppers. They die, too. :dead:

              Seriously.

It's about choosing the engagement range to your benefit. Once you ID who the hoppers are, modify your tactics when engaging them.

When using auto-fire, aim high and pull down the muzzle while firing. This will put you into position to engage them as they go prone and allow you to hit them in mid-bounce. When the tango is bouncing, continue to aim and burst-fire.

Shooting from the hip is the best way to engage a hopper. Remember that their goal is normally to get close to you for the melee kill. You need to continue to aim and burst-fire as they do everything they can to evade your fire and close with you.

              Use the Steady Aim perk.

Remember to switch to pistol. Get good at this -- you'll thank yourself later. Also, bind the melee key to a button on your mouse and practice using it. There are others folks will suggest. Whatever works for you.

The hoppers to worry about are the ones who... /edit: I've had second thoughts >.<

Honestly, I've had some very exciting softcore games while using the game mechanics as opposed to playing "realistically". So, I'd have to say, "Bring it on!"

I can take the punishment. :box:

                          yep QFT

I tried 2142 again and I have NO idea how I even played in that game. They had it so you cant shoot while jumping, shoot while going up from prone, etc. I don't know how I managed to bunny hop in that game, but I figured out a way to adapt to it and do very well in it. It's just the way some people play the game. After all, dying is pretty big motivation to try different things.

It's all about modifying your tactics. As sonic says, just modify your tactic against bunny hoppers. Same thing with martyrdom, eventually you will have enough and you will just camp or advance slower, Etc. Use your head!
This is what sets the pros against the others. They are not afraid to use anything they can to stay alive longer. Thats why it was so popular in BF2 (and quake).. it worked. Eventually it became a style that was habit, people try it in any game with moderate success.

If you really want to stop bunny hoppers, put the raise the gravity in the server so you don't jump as high.

If your server rules include the words, No Bunny Hopping I'd leave it long before you'd even have a chance to ban me.

If your server rules didn't include those words. Well, I wouldn't want to play on your crappy server anyways, now would I?
