VOIP Problem: People can hear me but I cant hear them

I just started to play BF2 again and I noticed that on some servers I cannot hear other teammates over VOIP. They can hear me talking but when they attempt to communicate with me, I can hear nothing. I do not see the VOIP icon pop up or have my sound go softer when they attempt to communicate with me. I have joined other servers and the VOIP worked fine, but then I try other servers only to have the same problem. Is there any solution to this problem?

I also tried reinstalling, but no luck. Does anyone have any solutions?

Is there nothing in the options about VOIP volume? I have the same problem but I've never really bothered to fix it myself.
