2fort General Opinions

Evening lads.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but i have been browsing the Valve forums a bit lately and really noticed a distinct lack of love for 2Fort going around. I was basically wondering what the general opinion on TGN was?

Personally i love it, but i would be interested to hear the opinion of someone who doesn't and why they don't like it.

I hate it:

1. Its way too balanced
2. Its quite "samey"
3. Both teams areas are exactly the same
4. The intel is impossible to get because hundreds of engineers camping either outside their spawn or in the intel room

When it comes to 2Fort on The O.C server we usually all just go engineers and piss around with teleporters outsiude our spawn to while away the punishment/time

Its fun for playing spy, thats about it. They should release more maps like it though, perhaps one set in trenches (?) or someplace more open and it could be fun.

I like playing it as sniper.
Its beautiful for sniping.

I agree on the camping, alot of games end in stalemates.

It was the first map i played and it has just felt like home ever since, its a great map for the pyro i find, despite all the water.

Its boring as hell, too many sniper whores, and in a lot of cases just turns into a battlement vs battlement battle

good old rocket jump will annihalate them all

but yes for the most part it sucks cos of the sheer boringness

then again its usually about the players, if you are on with a load of fun loving people and not gimps the bridge battles can be hilarious

Play on a server with 20 players or less and it's a great map - very nice map for my favourite classes spy and scout...

It does get kinda dull when half the teams goes engineer though

It f'in rocks when you're a spy and reaches the enemy sniper deck, usually there's 5-6 snipers there and it's so fun backstabbing them all in a row

2fort is only great fun on pubs but for clan matches it mostly ends up as a stalemate

Good fun for both Pubs and Serious matches.

The team that works most strategically, or has the most engies, wins. :p
