i have the game legit but my dad uninstalled bf2 from my computer and took away disc 1 so now i'm running bf2 from the backup files even though it doesnt register as installed on the control panel. I'm also using a no cd crack to play it but when ever i try to join a server it will crash to the desktop :cry:. anyone know why or can help me? single player works fine but the bots are just to dam retarded to be much fun

It's probably because you are using a ***** crack. You are also likely missing some registry entries that keep you from playing. Try a mini-image, or reinstall the game. If you do manage to join a server with a ***** BF2.exe, you will just be banned. Don't even try. -
I get this problem when trying to connect to a server after installing v1.41.
I uninstalled the game and tried it after a fresh install when I wasn't sure what was up, it worked fine. After installing patch 1.41 it happens, you goto connect to a server and it crashes straight to desktop.
ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS? Driving me nuts, I want to go play some PR!
