    a few questions

    1. why do people create and use more than 1 account? i dont see the point.

    2. what exactly are the requirements for leutenant general? I have seen everyone from nade spammers, rdx bunny hoppers, knife stat padders as well as actual skilled players get this rank. i am confused. it must be a joke.

    3. how many people actually play this game? im guessing less than 5,000 people realisticly.

    4. why are all the highest ranked players in this game european? are Europeans overall just mentally and physically superior to us? (im guessing yes lol) or do they just take gaming more seriously over there? idk

    5. on a personal note, what is your favorite color? i like Navy Blue because it makes me feel confident.:)

    1. im guessing they want to have a "fresh start" and re-experience the game when you have no unlocks

    2. look here: http://bf2142awards.com/ranks/

EDIT: never mind.... it doest show... strange.... then idk....

    3. i play this game a lot, and idk why more people dont- its a really good game. i guess COD4 appeals more.....

    4. no idea....

    5. same, navy blue just seems more honorable, but army green is just as good! :)

      US: 301.139.947

      EU: 494.800.000

Some countries that don't belong to the EU but belong to Europe are not counted. So, European people... Maybe around 700.000.000? I dunno. But that might explain why there're more European players.
Just checked 2142-stats. Germany alone almost makes one half of the whole US player base. (300.000.000 (127503 players) -> 80.000.000 (56647 players))
And by having more players = better players.

those seem like highly inflated figures. i dont think the game is THAT popular do you?

recently i've been going on and playing a knife only server my first match a session to kind of warm up my mouse hand so i dont ruin my rep when i go on a real server:) ive made myself look like a fool a couple times coming in not warmed up and playing against some good people and getting killed by them more than i should. then its good practice for the off chance that some doof ball tries to knife me it happens alot i dont really mind getting knife killed it happens but sometimes ill humor them and knife fight

i dont really see a problem with how i do it. i mean some people its all they do but ill do it maybe a round or so maybe not every day and my kd usually ends up being worse than if i had just gone on a regular server

Sorry, what do you mean? I got the numbers from 2142-stats. If you count European players and US players, you surely will find that there are way more European players than US players. And with more players also come more skilled players naturally.
              US players: 127.000
              European players: 198.503

Dude it's just a game. Nobody cares about your in-game rep.

I've thought of going on some knife server and do some APC whoring. Most of these guys play medic and the servers are usually FF=OFF, so I can't get knifed and still get 5 kills or even 10 kills pin before being kicked out. Then, I would have to answer questions like "why do you go on K/P servers so often?" Ugh, I'd rather suck it up with bad KDR and spamming nades during Camp Gibraltar Fragfest. :dead:

                  1. It seems that they would do it just for fun, i.e. they've gotten one soldier to their highest rank and every award, so they want to try it again.

                  2. Primarily it just takes time to get to the highest ranks. Your total point's will always continue to increase so eventually you'll get there. Its just a matter of speed.

                  3. What on earth would give you the idea that there are only 5000 people playing?

Look here and then here. Total copies sold in the US is over 200,000, and assessed players is 421663.
Maybe not all of those people are playing regularly or at all anymore, but they did at one point, and you can't expect every person who owns the game to be playing constantly at the same time.

That's just a load of bull sh!t, impossible to argue your way around. Even if you are innocently going onto K/P servers, it doesn't do you any good "to warm up." I never needed to warm up as well as a lot of other pros on TGN who will agree with me (I hope).

They only way you can excuse yourself for using a K/P server is if you go into a server and ruin it by "breaking" the "rules" and only then if you can have some buddies vouch for it back at TGN.

by going on k/p servers your just as bad as they are. You could even call it stat padding yourself since you know everyone is in one specific area on the map bunnyhop/dolphin knifing etc. Save yourself the hassle and dont trail into them. simple

and an in game rep is important in some aspects especially if your tagged for the following:

                    1. because you are representing your clan most of all

                    2. if you may or may not play clan matches its good to have a positive reputation

                    :)

That's why I avoid K/P servers at all cost, to prevent my rep from being tarnished as a statpadder.

Well, it seems that I do care about my rep after all. It's just that it doesn't based on my stat.

whoa. whats with all the hate? i dont get why everyone hates knife servers. ive never played on them, but AFAIK, they are just servers where all you do is knife other people. whats so bad about that? i think it still counts, even if it does put you on an even level with others.
EDIT: and whats a K/P server?

                            K/P = Knife/Pistol.

K/P Servers are bad because they are against the RoC, which is covered in the ToS you signed when installing the game. EA can wipe your stats for playing on them, as they are considered as a form of stat-padding.

really? wow. so why does EA allow servers which say "knife only?"
