need help with program name - voice macro?

when the game first came out (years ago)
I used a realtime voice recognition macro
(eg change weapons, do this, do that, etc)
(got old and tired fingers)
till I started playing online using VOIP and Ventrilo
which of course, caused all sorts of problems
anyway = I am looking for that program to use in other apps
(non-gaming)
can any one remember it - I got the idea from the forums
or can you suggest a program

There is speech recognition on Vista and on Mac. Otherwise I would suggest doing a google search for it.
