Yeah, they're not going to be putting any new weapons in the game, at least not without an expansion pack. The balancing work required would be immense, and they've gotten that down pretty well now. Why mess it up (without making some more money, at least)?

I dont think they would have any intention, unless a expansion came out (which i highly doubt), i am just getting to grip with the weapons now, more for me will be too confusing. :p

i just wish u could attach all the attachments as u earn them rather than having to sacrafice one for the other.. that just sucks! and a silencer for the sniper rifle would be nice!

No. I didn't see people complain in CoD1 or CoD2 for new weapons...

Well, more variety - maps, weapons, attachments, perks, etc - helps to keep more people interested.

It's probably too late to add anything to the core game, and IW have stated they have no plans to do so at this point. Maybe in an expansion pack, or COD6.

The one thing I miss from other games is that certain factions were only allowed certain weapons in their loadout. If they wanted other ones, they would have to pick them up from a dead enemy. Although this requires more careful thought about which weapons are in-game, and making sure they are balanced, I enjoyed this aspect (ie. you could usually tell when an enemy was nearby from the sound of the weapon being fired, or you could pick up an enemy weapon to "trick" oppts into thinking you were one of them firing nearby).

Is modding weapons okay? I know in CS:S its fine in pubs, not fine in competition. I know having a tricked out m4, sideways glock, camo AWP, or even different player models like security guards, etc. will make you try the game again if you are tired of the current weapons. Different sounds/models, but same statistics.. works for me!
