    TF2 graphical problems

    Hey guys.

Sorry to whine but i am looking for a solution to a problem which (up until now) i have tried to be very patient with.

I cant take it anymore and would appreciate some help. For as long as i can remember having TF2, at random times during a match, a certain part of the player model, scenery or weapon model would suddenly stretch out into the distance in a thin line, as well as other similar graphical faults that i wont bore you with.

This problem would persist until i logged off, changed a video setting or restarted, but this would only cause it to happen elsewhere.

Just to let you know i am running an Nvidia 7900GTX with 512RAM, plus another 2GB of RAM in the machine.

I have also tried lowering and turning off effects, all to no avail. I have also tried that "Verify game cache" thing.

Sorry about the length, thanks in advance. :salute:

This could be a number of problems. Be prepare to complet the following things

    1. Check your GFX card temperature - If its hot, open up the side of your case and see if that makes a difference.

    2. Uninstall TF2 and then reinstall - It could be possible that some of the installation files have somehow got corrupted.

    3. Uninstall Steam and reinstall.

    4. Contact steam support because thats when i run out of ideas

As Oli said check your GPU temps, otherwise you might want to check your drivers as well. But I suspect it'll be from overheating.
