    Rolling and diving

I was doing my regular killings in the alleyways of karkand when i noticed lots of people sees me, does a roll and fires at me during the roll, and instantly kill me without me firing a single shot. Can anyone teach me how to roll sideways, does ur camera also roll when ur character rolls? What about dives, do u just press space and then ctrl?

the roll doesn't exist to the person that's doing it. all they're doing is strafing left or right while pressing the prone button. everyone but the person sees the roll, and it doesn't change the way they fire. Yes, it's sometimes confusing when you first start playing BF2 because you think they have to do the roll before they fire, when really, they don't. it's just like going prone any other time

Well uhm, you jump and press Z so that the instant you land you automatically go prone.

Buys yo time to aim while in motion, when you are in motion you are harder to hit.

well strafing + prone = roll
i believe its either foward + prone or staying still + prone is the jumping one

The roll you see isnt something you see your character do and it does not affect the way you shoot, as already said above. Its just there to make the animation of going prone look more realistic..even though the prone (dolphin diving) isnt realistic at all so it doesnt really do much
