    "Join player on server" question

    Chaps,

When you're looking at your buddy list and right click on their name to join them - is there any way of influencing the chances of you actually joining with them?

I'd say for for every 5 games that I try to join in with a buddy, there's probably 1 where I manage it. The rest of the time I'm put on the opposing team.

The whole idea of the buddy list thing to me is that you've had a good round or two with someone, sent a buddy request over and wish to join them again in the future. There's not much point going up against them.

You can just wait till your team has 1 man extra, then switch over. Not that hard.

Or filter for the server in the advanced tab and click the Info button to look at the team balance. If the teams are even, the next player to join is always put on EU, (note that in the Info screen it is backwards with EU listed as PAC). If one team has more players the next players to join are always put on the shorthanded team until they are balanced.

        Skates has got it right.

I hate joining in on Buddies, I always seem to end up getting on K&P servers and leaving instantly, waste of time.

I do try that m8 - put usually I just think 'sod it' and stick with the side I've got. :)

I did notice the server info Skates, but I didn't realise that they were the wrong way around. Cheers for that.

One of those little bugs that you would think they could have fixed a long time ago. I never knew it either until someone pointed it out in these forums a few months back.
