    No martyrdom servers

I'm just curious, anyone have a reason that the no martyrdom servers don't also ban last stand?

Both are very similar, and both are very cheap in my opinion. If you want to get revenge, kill the person when you respawn, but die when I kill you. I hate having to shoot people after they fall to their death to make sure they are popping back from last stand.

Well, the friendly-fire servers often ban Martyrdom so that there aren't rampant team-kills.

Other servers probably recognize that at least some physical skill is required with Last Stand, to aim and kill your target. And rarely do you come around the corner to find someone already in Last Stand waiting for you, unlike the Marty nade that can take out several people at a distance.

Last stand is great, few things are more fun than flashing the guy and knifing him while hes just laying there. Or just killing him with a stun

I've tried to turn Martyrdom off my servers but because their ranked, since people have it built into their class, it doesn't let me. So sad

No Last Stand would be nice so no one steals my kills, hate when I shoot someone and before I can aim down to finish em someone shoots em or blows em up

That's fine, for your server. But I've played on several public servers with the "regular" form of FF on (ie. you kill the team-mate only), and the explanations for no Marty from their admins and console messages was to prevent unnecessary TK'ing.

Because they would have to be called 'No martyrdom or last stand servers'.

I'm indifferent towards last stand, since they actually have to aim and take you down.. Martyrdom is just based on chance/luck that you will be near it. Last stand would be nice if the person who put him in last stand gets the points, and the person who kills them after gets the assist.

Just keep shooting till they die, if the enemy team has a bunch of last standers.. you will know you have to look out for it then.. take note of their kit, that should help

I generally don't mind Last Stand, except when someone is up close. The person who was "killed" will snap into the Last Stand animation (quickly dropping to the ground) very fast, sometimes faster than you can react unless you're prepared for it. If they have a Desert Eagle, then quite often they can take you down.

At a distance, no problem, as it's easy to take cover then fire the final shot...but in close-quarters it can be very frustrating. On Crossfire, I shot a guy just as he was getting to the top of the ladder to climb up into the building on the "market" side of the map. He went into Last Stand at the top of the ladder (almost in mid-air), which caught me off-guard, and Deagle'd me.

I reckon martydom is a great perk sometimes when there are like ten enemys you die they run up and boom, i agree with you on the last stand that is bad.

Martyrdom and Last Stand are also very valuable in S&D matches where there are no respawns. If you can take out an enemy that just "killed" you, you help your team out quite a bit.
