I was looking for the Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition (2142 & NS) on Google search 5 mins ago,
and i came across this website http://www.digitalbattle.com/2008/01...eluxe-edition/, with this comment down the bottom:

"…… And as supplied in the DVD version is broken ….

The booster pack content is unusable as of 1345 GMT on 25th Jan 2008.

Some users have not even been able to run the plain vanilla BF2142 content in the deluxe edition. No has been able to use the Northern Strike content at all leaving them with a shiny drinks coaster..

EA are aware of the issue but have been uncommunicative beyond acknowledging that the problem exists."

Anyway, I'll get to the point, So is this true, or false? Because i wouldn't mind
getting the Deluxe edition, but now since I've read this message, I'm a bit skeptical...

if you already have bf2142 there is no need to buy the deluxe edition. you will need to buy the boosterpack but that all.

i just bought the delux edition from circuit city for $18. will be on sale till the 22nd. have not installed on my other pc yet. I know you have to do some sort of validation on EA's website for the booster pack to work. Maybe these people did not do that and are blaming EA for their own fault. i would think if this was true we would have heard more about it. Will install it when i get home tonight and see if i have any issues.

My little brothers have the Deluxe edition installed on a computer about 6 feet away from where I am sitting... We play NS several hours every day.
