What do people think of the new Huey in 0.75? I kind of dislike how it replaces the blackhawks on Jabal al-Burj, and also there are no door guns! Isn't that kind of unrealistic?

i admit in vbf2 the door guns were utterly useless, but like all the other weapons in PR, the miniguns in this are quite powerful; i've killed alot of guys with them.Comment

Yep, but unfortunately the shaking and ping make it pretty much impossible to hit anything with them. And even if you somehow manage to land a burst on someone, i almost guarantee you that it wont register.
I have tried to turn a blackhawk into a gun platform namy times and it always resulted in my or my door gunners death. He would either get shot out coz hes a big and juicy target in the sky, or someone would simply shoot us down with an light or heavy AT:/Comment

How's it flying? Specifically, how is it handling while sitting on the ground? I put in several hours of time and some initial code and re-export of the helicopter for the PR team to fix an issue with it "creeping" while on the ground.
This chopper used to like to "walk" forward until it was stopped by some objects the skids could not get over. It would do this with a pilot sitting at the flight controls/rotar spinning. (Yes, I am still the one everyone comes to for help fixing choppers.
Eve is still the king with the number and variation in chopper types available in any mod. We've got most all the Huey flavors used within the 'Nam.)
In any case, I am just curious to know how it turned out in the end. I have not had a chance to sample the latest version of PR, due to my work upon Eve of Destruction and some other projects I am currently involved with. :salute:Comment

i have...you have to sometimes lead the bullets though, and that can be tricky, because it depends on the distance from the target as well as the velocity of the helicopter.Comment

You think? :p You don't suppose it was the addition of the dampers and fixing the materials on the collision mesh that fixed it?
In any case, I am glad that it stays in one place. Nothing worse than landing and finding yourself creeping across the ground into objects.
If it wasn't fixed and needed some additonal tweaking. I'd be interested to know what the fix was. All my choppers in EoD work fine and are setup the same way I set this one up for PR. (I added the dampers and fixed the collision mesh material issues that were not setup right.)
When I got it from you guys, it crept forward and would not stay in one spot. When I was done with it, it seemed to be working fine. If it wasn't, please let me know what was added or changed, so that I can apply the same fixes to the version that I have for USI. They use the same UH-1N as far as I know. :salute:Comment
