I just got a new video card from my dad (GeForce 7300GT) and i tried playing it again and it wont start.

The Battlefield 2 splash screen comes up and then nothing happens. On the rare occasion that it does, i try loading a game and it quits.

I'm about at the point where i think my card just isn't supported.

    anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried redownloading the latest drivers from Nvidia? Stuff like that usually happens when you install a new card and still continue to use the old drivers, even if it's from the same manufacturer.

You need to download not only GPU drivers but also mobo drivers for chipset etc.. if u give us your motherboards model and make i can give u a link to the download u need..

what does it say when u try and uninstall BF2? does it come up with any error messeges?

It sounds like a video.con problem, the new card is set to a different refresh rate/resolution than your old card.
Either delete the Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents, start game, re-login with email & password, and set up your audio, video and controls again.

Or you could try opening the My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001\video.con file with notepad and make a note of the line VideoSettings.setResolution ----x----@--Hz
Then go to your desktop, right click, select properties, settings, change screen resolution to match the video.con file, then select advanced, monitor and change refresh rate to match video.con file.
