what mertis for a new unlock?

i know getting a new rank merits a new unlock, but is there anything else which merits a new one? i remember i once got 2 new unlocks from a NS assault lines match where i got 2 new badges. yesterday, i got a new rank(corporal gold), 2 pins, and a badge(all in one match too!), but got only 1 new unlock. this is annoying because if i got 2 unlocks, i would have gotten the Koenig H-AVR, but now i have to wait even longer......
so what else merits a new unlock, because i kind of dont want to wait until i get to lance corporal silver.....

all the NS awards merits with an unlock. only ns awards and rank ups give you an unlock point.

Don't worry, I don't hate you ( I don't know about the other guys with like 10 posts making fun of you though). :p

It happens to all of us when we're new at something, but its not that big of a deal. One day you'll be able to look back and say "boy, I was a noob" and then have a little fun with someone else. :)
