I haven't played BF2 for a while (COD4 took the time), but I returned. And still see ~900 populated servers in my area. As always.

That's pretty damn true. I actually haven't played BF2 for a month or two now, but I just know I'll eventually come back to it (BF2142 & BF1942 included). And I'll always keep coming back to it as long as people keep playing it online.

BF2 is bound to die someday but a good amount of people still play it, Xfire's top 10 games played as BF2 around 4-5 usally.

Even though the bulk of my time is now COD4 i still play BF2 every couple of weeks for the 64 player maps.
