How do I disable kick voting on server.

Yes I have rented a Cod4 server from the good folks here and I am just wondeirng if there is a way to disable kick voting and if there is will the server still be ranked if kick voting or any voting for that matter is disabled? Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, you can't disable any one vote, it's all or none.

Somewhere in you config files would be the below line. 1 = on 0 = off
I wanted to have ours on, but one day I entered my own server and a few people I found were doing some kind of stat padding and were vote kicking everyone else. I banned the offender and restarted the server.
No more voting on our server.

set g_allowvote "0"

Yea 2 guys were doing the same thing in my server so thats why I want to disable voting. Thanks.

K next question is I didnt see that line in my config files but I added it at the end and it seemed to work but my question is is the server still ranked since I added to the config files?

That value is present in the first post of this thread by an IW member ( http://www.infinityward.com/communit...p?topic=1839.0 ) which seems to lay out the basics of a dedicated ranked server. Based on that, I'd say any variable value in that first post is OK.

Once you've changed it, someone here can find your server in the browser and see if there's still a checkmark in the "IW" column (the "atom" symbol) to be sure.

For sure it is still ranked. You can try to change any variable you want to, and your server will still be ranked. The only way to run a "unranked" server is through a fs_game folder. The server will ignore those variables that can only be run in a modded server. ie you can try to turn off a specific perk, but the server ignores this and your server stays ranked.
