Also in titan defense as support. Sticking the scanner on those containers in the cargo bay pretty much covers all four possible approaches into the titan. If you're in a squad or with other team members who are at least half-awake, that scanner is invaluable.

A better place for it is in your hanger on the wall under the walkway below the seats for the AA guns. It covers all but the back deck and can't be destroyed by the other team.
