    Maassive Question

yeah, umm i have basic high-speed DSL and i went to speedtest.net and saw that my upload speed was 760K and download was like 130K. ooook. whatever.

So were going to talk to Verizon on friday and upgrade our internet to like the next step up from $17 a month to $25 a month or somethin. One of my brothers friends has the internet that were going to get and his numbers on speedtest were 2900K up and some 700 down or something. way higher in other words.

Soo.. how would an improved internet connection effect playing this game? Has anyone upgraded thier internet and saw the difference? ??

    Not at all.

2142 only needs a small amount. Having a larger pipe will make no difference. It's the latency of the connection that matters! Not the bandwidth.

so the game wont run smoother with better internet? so even though i have 3GBRAM 2.77Ghz cpu and 7900GS 256MB card and i have poor framerate when on 64 player servers that is not going to change at all? that is not what i wanted to hear. not at all.

then i dont understand then what causes me to have bad framerate. caus i have enough memory and processor speed and my card is ok. AND i playon medium/low settings 24/7. Maybe my comp sucks more than i think? caus this is even after i did a system restore and cleaned everything off the comp and reinstalled a couple games. i dont get it. im confused

WHAT DO YOU NEED to play this game with framerate that is silk in most conditions?? caus i played against Anthony1977 last night and it just made me realize how much better you can do with the proper hardware.

I upgraded my hardware a while back, and it made a world of difference to my gameplay. It felt so much easier to pwn...

Try putting all the lighting and shading options off or low. In task manager, disable any programs that are not needed and try get it to a minimum before each time you play.

Also check here to see if anything is bottlenecking you.

Check your system requirements. Can I Run it? Test your specs and rate your gamimg PC.

interesting. so i pass with roughly 70% and in the "recommended" zone. but is wierd caus it says that my cpu and operating system are the bottlenecks. thanks shaz.
