Dx 10 Anyone?

DOES ANYONE RUN BF2 WITH DX 10? HOW DO I DO IT AND IS IT ANY BETTER THAN DX9? I HAVE 64BIT OS AND MY VIDEO CARD DOES SUPPORT IT. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT?:salute:

You won't notice a single difference. BF2 doesn't support DX10.

DirectX10 only works on compatible games such as Crysis, Bioshock. BF2 is only DirectX9 compatible.

Secondly, you would need Vista to run DirectX10 for games that do support it.

And thirdly, you need a very, very high end card in order to run it at smooth frame rates.

So, basically the answer is no.

I have Vista and DX10 but my card is just an 8500GT, the game runs fine. I suspect that BF3 (if and when) will require DX10.

When DX10 is implemented into games (and by then it'll be DX10.1 which 8series cards dont support), you'll need a high end system.

...no problem here ...running Vista 64. And all are correct, if you dont op'd to install DX9 on a Vista 64 machine, BF2 will not even install or launch.

i run bf2 on Vista 64-bit and it runs at exactly 100 fps during game play... but soon as i turn Vsync on to stop screen tearing it obviously caps it at 60fps..

yeah the frostbite engine (BF:BC and BF3) is DX10 compatible
