funniest one is when the guy with the clark comes up to your rorche and starts shooting but then you just jump out and knife him. SIT DOWN

The engineer class was the first that I unlocked the full tech tree on. I got into the engineer class from the days of BF2 - what with many people overlooking the engi in favour of more 'glamourous' classes. When those vehicles start coming inbound on you, it's amazing how quickly team members get to rely on you. :)
I recently started playing Assault again, and I find myself really really missing my Pilum. =[ I hate having to run every time I see a vehicle approaching.

The engineer is lethal at close range, the SMG might as well be a mini-voss. At long range you have Ye 'ol Pilum or one of the stocks. Don't forget the SAAW, that thing is the most effective shotgun in the game :p Engineer is no doubt the most versatile class in the game, taking out infantry and vehicles alike with relative ease.

ive tried it a few minutes ago in my local server on a stationary walker:

Front armour: Face and belly around 20hp
Legs: 55 on hip and 45 on rest
    back where engine is: 64
    vents: 95 damage

hehe shoot then get in to see where health left then repair walker again and try other spot.

Hit the legs for 45 Damage, and the Vents on the underside for 90. The torso does around 30 damage, and the "head" does ~20.

EDIT: 900th post! Yay me :p

yeah the SMGs are actually pretty darn good when needed but wtf is up with the pilum? where exactly do you shoot a walker to do massive damage to it? Like in the *** or the vents? Caus i swear the most damage i can ever do is like 30%. THen if i try shooting it in the crotch from the front that does maybe 15?

better off just throwing MMs at it
