    aa in mods.

do any of the mods have a decent solution to anti air? this means the range to engage enemy air within visual range. the knockdown power to take down a jet with one hit. and the accuracy of missiles not flying right up to the cabin and then straying off. it would be also nice if the cannon did more damage to jets.

The Allied Intent Xtended mod has a nice follow-cam added to the IGLA missiles (and maybe to the rest of the AA's too... I do not know) .

but doesn't project reality have like 1 jet map? and they've kinda taken the fun out of the mod. i wanted realism in game play, not gaming torture. the older versions were much better.

The aa and the cannon in PR is deadly, and there are 2 maps with jets in, will be more. Also the flares are different.

Point of Existence 2 sounds like what your looking for. Closer to vanilla than PR in gameplay style with plenty of air flying around to kill. AA still has a few quirks(for gameplay purposes its not gonna be perfect) but overall is very effective/deadly. Pilots fear Mobile AA vehicles and stationary emplacements....if they don't they die quickly. There is also handheld stinger pickup kits to play with. Overall its not uncommon to be at the top of the scoreboard just by using a mobile AA vehicle on some maps.

Here are two videos of some of the AA in action. The first is a squad that used a bunch of AA together to control the air space around the center flag. Because of this squad the friendly air had absolute freedom and the entire team dominated the entire round. The second is just one guy tearing up the entire enemy air force.

                  OWNED!

Now don't dare post that in the PR forums or you'll get raped! But you hit the nail on the head.
