My friend can't log into BF2

Any advice? He DOES have a router.

So he can play single player but not multiplayer online?

The game could crash because the screen does not support the resolution entered.
Please explain again.
He logs in as "default player" with the default graphic settings.
But when he tries to log on using his BF2 account it doesn't work?

Maybe he should delete his profile folder and retrieve the account again.
That way he will have to adjust the settings again but choose another resolution.
Does he use the same settings with he default player as he does with his account?
I can't think of anything else, but I'm not a specialist with these things anyway.
