Any IO sniper servers ?

Thinkin of getting back into this, dont have the hardware to run cod4 on full plus the maps on it arent very great for sniping, and sniping on xbox360 sucks with the controller.

Had a go on mates pc on 800x600 on 15" monitor the other day, found i hadnt lost my skills, was on hard bot mode on singleplayer though, finished 39-4 k/d so not too shabby for a 6month+ break.

Not interested in clans too much, been there done that, prefer to do my own thing tbh.

i used to go on a sniper server called Sniper World.. the guys that play on there are pretty good :)

what does it mean by this? to me it means you cant jump onto a jeep then onto a building to shoot from, but im sure theres a more proper explaination to it?

I think that using a vehicle to jump on a building is OK. But not using the vehicle (drop) to glitch INTO a building.

I dont mean sniper only servers, more IO wake etc where everyone snipes anyway, such as DC.

Ive lost my bf2 disc, infact i think i broke it.

When speaking of 'game geometry' this usually refers to clipping, which is getting someplace you wouldn't normally be able to get to if the devs hadn't overlooked it. Using world geometry to get to a visible area isn't cheating. What we're talking about in this situation is glitching IN to a building or other structure where you can see others but they have no chance of seeing you.

To the OP. Sniper World(as someone else said) used to be a good server, don't know if it's still up cause I've been gone for a few months as well. If you don't care about your stats, play ranked or unranked. If you don't want to get wiped, play unranked. I suggest playing unranked because there's always someone who doesn't realize it's a niche server and runs around with a machine gun, or they're there to just piss people off.

Theres a server called something like...

911 sniper world. Type "sniperworld" in server search bar to find.
It is fushi pass you cannot cross the bridge... snipers only. However it is american so ping is high for me... however ping doesnt matter so much against very static opponants.

Think it is a medium or large map

The WoOkie sniper mod has great maps. It re-introduces the M82 and removes all kits except snipers. It also adds a new point system where extra points are gained for distance from your target, the target's movement, and headshots. It's a great mod, try it out.
