ok,i know that it takes a while for new rank to show up and everything,but,last night i was playin,i got to about staff sergearnt rank i think,somewhere around there,and then today,i go to play on a ranked server and i get a few kills and it says you been promoted to private first class?did rank reset or somethin?i dont have the patch installed i dont know if that has anything to do with it.i went to d/l the patch and it said it would take like 10 hours! so i dont know if i wanna do that.but any help would be appreciated.thx.

No patch = No rank !!! Are you on dial-up or something ? It only should take 30 min. at the most to download & about 10 min. to install -
u need the patch to get ur rank. im not sure how u got ur pfc rank or ssgt rank but if u did have the patch and everything was working, sometimes when u login, BF2 doesnt pick up ur rank properly so ull be seen as a private with no awards, but if u relogin ur rank should be back to normal..

oh ok,ill have to d/l the patch then.im on dsl(cant get calbe where imat)but maybe it was just actin up or somethin,cuase it was saayin the d/l would take like 10 hours or somethin.ill try downloading it again later.and,i got the ranks yesterday when i was playin only in the server,but nothin showed up in the bfhq.thx.is bf2.com the best site to get patch then?Comment
