Ok, so I'm not one to whine much, although this may certainly seem to be what I'm doing here.... Bear with me for a sec. I couldn't find it previously posted but I didn't search too hard. I'm sure somebody has ranted about it before.
I quit BF2 for quite a long time... long enough to make General on 2142 and Commander on COD4.
Anyway, I came back to BF2 because I never really did anything impressive on it. (highest rank = Gunnery Sgt...) and so I was actually pretty happy to see a familiar server after doin all the updates and reinstalls and fighting endlessly with my godforsaken punkbuster. Digital Anarchy. I used to play there all the time! "hooray!" I thought, "this will be fun..." Or not.
You can one of two things on this server, one you can be on the dA! team's side and cap the other team out in less than five minutes... They are like a pack of rabid hyenas and they show no mercy.
In other words, they're pretty dam good, and they stack teams like you wouldn't believe if you hadn't played there. It almost becomes boring when you're on this team. It's tough to even get very many kills because they surround the uncaps and lay waste to anything that moves. Good for them I guess, bad for the average player.
Conversely, you can be on the other team. God help you if this is the case. If you didn't have a purple heart before, you will now. You're screwed. Period.
Here is the thing that really irritated me though. Anyone who isn't dA! and attempts to fly a jet gets kicked. Automatically. Even if you're on the other team and somehow manage to steal one of theirs, they kick you. ADMIN DECISION: GOODBYE. I have seen it over and over again.
LOL! I remember one time, i got in an F-35 after waiting on the carrier forever and this dA! guy comes running up in front of me, pulls his pistol out and actually wiggles back and forth to make it look like he's shaking his head. I took off and made it about a third of the way across the map before I was kicked.
So yeah, it's their server, they can do whatever they like, but I'm done playing there. Screw digital Anarchy.
BUT, on a ranked server couldn't this be reported as STAT PADDING? just a thought.
