Analzying Gameplay - How to Improve Your Own Skillz.

What's the best way to improve your game? If you asked any coach they would say watch your previous games and analyze what you did wrong and what you did right. That's what I'm doing today... throwing my dirty laundry out for everyone to see. I talk briefly during each round and after the round about what I'm thinking and why; but I would like to hear from you. What could I have done better? What could I have done worse? Lets hear it! Oh yea, this video is probably boring to most. Enjoy!

    Sounds good, watching now.

Edit: Yup, good stuff. I learnt something, and it's a good way to improve further on my own habits.

Something I noticed is you seem to be too keen to raid the buildings. You were caught out a couple of times running across alleys without looking just to get to a building a little quicker. Also due to this I noticed you weren't cautious with bottle-neck areas in buildings for claymores and you paid the price quite early on.

Other than that, some fancy shooting there mate.

Edit: How do you make a Fraps movie and narrate while filming? I think I might make one on my USELESS ability with assault rifles...

Using Xfire Video Capture, and my Microphone... edited with Windows Movie Maker. This was just one gameplay session of 10 rounds. And after watching the video again, I do notice that I try to go for the buildings... I was also sporting an p90 which = noob. :salute: Next video will be assault rifle only.

It was nice playing, but definitely not my play style.

I can see rushing in SD, but in the beginning you weren't checking major camp spots, and you were leaving yourself extremely exposed in some of the high traffic areas.

Rather than watching the bomb and letting the enemy come to you to ensure a victory, you exposed yourself quite often around the bomb. Most skilled SD players will temporarily forget about the bomb (when they have to defuse) and circle the area looking for players running around.

Not to get nit picky, but when you ran out at the start of the round (on offense) you ran right into the middle of the road. Yes, you sorta looked around, but that is one of the most well-known rush areas for that map. I would have expected you to smoke the road before rushing, or possibly have gone through the house.
-Normally snipers sit on the B house stairs and watch the road.

Nice to see you critic your own gameplay, but those are a few of the major problems I witnessed.

Thought it was pretty nice... Good job!

Not my playing style either, but then again I don't even play S&D

I'm a little over half-way through your vid, and I've seen it twice now...you got a 3-kill streak, and didn't activate your UAV but instead just kept on playing. The mini-map is an important tool (particularly in Hardcore mode) and especially in the round where you were searching for that one last opponent, it could've shown you where he was if he didn't have the UAV Jammer.

Unless that server specifically had the mini-map disabled, I'd say that was a mistake.

You also seem to have a bit of a tendency to re-load when exposed. You got nailed at least once for that that I've seen so far.

How do you record it with your voice? I re-downloaded XFire as I haven't used it in years but what do you press or whatever to do it?

You can do it in Windows:

Start - accesories - entertainment - sound recorder.

Oh lol, I'll do that then :p Although I'm a lot better with them now. I'm not jumping up and down cheering every time I make a kill with an assault rifle now. Still bad though.
