So we all know it's a lot easier to revive someone than to knife someone. The defib should basically have the same kind of behavior when used against the opposite team, correct? Defibbing should therefore be a lot easier to do than knifing?

Or is it easier to defib than to knife because when you defib, your target isn't moving (and we all know that hit detection in BF2142 is pretty awful sometimes for moving targets)? Or maybe it's because the defib has a crosshair?
