I can't wait for Clear Sky (the sequel, coming out very soon)...

The only game I can think of that could possibly dethrone it is Fallout 3.
    +10 respect

Throughout the whole game, the atmosphere hits a 100% mark. I only remember Half Lifes "Surface tension" to be that impressive.

Its a little sad that the game was released half finished though. Such kind of SP RPGFPS games should work similar to "Hellgame: London". Im not a huge fan of RPGs, and usually dislike them, but HG: London was a perfect balance for me. STALKER should have been something similar.

The only RPG element Stalker had, was the inventory system.

Radiation isn't a physical presence - throw waves of radiation at a vehicle, and it won't stop working, you will only contaminate it for a few hundred years. The Mi-8 flew into wires underneath the crane, but the crew were exposed to so much radiation, that in the short time they were flying, they may have developed brain tumours, hindering their ability to comprehend risks, etc.

Scary that even our technology won't shield you from radiation isn't it? 2000ft AGL in a Hip or Hind you would expect to be safe.

That video right? I bet you guys might know this, but you could trace your path through pripyat and chernobyl in that mission. All I need is some ariel photographs. Dang, where a spy satellite when you need one!

Many of the vehicles used by the "liquidators" remain parked in a field in the Chernobyl area to this day. Got that from wikipedia. Didn't we go through that field in the mission? The machine junkyard?

Dude download Google Earth, it uses satelite imagery, its really sweet, it also has little photo icons you can click to view actual photos of the area. Just type in Chernobyl, and viola, you can look at anything, even your house.:salute:
