Lagging? My internet or the server

When the system lags do i need to upgrade my router or is the COD4 servers slow at times. I have a wireless connection but my signal strength is 100%

If you lag on every single server you join, then the problem is on your end.

Be sure that you try to join servers with as low a ping (latency) as possible. (Be aware that there is a bug that will sometimes return a higher ping value than a server really has, so a 2nd refresh is recommended).

If you join servers with a ping of less than 150, you should still have a playable game, if it's less than 100 you should be able to do well, and if less than 50 you're in the best situation.

I'm not sure on this but i think gaming on wireless may be your problem. Have you tried gaming on a wired connection? You should also post your system specs.
