How can it be that servers with a generally high standard of play can still be home to the lamest of lame admins? Kick/banned after 4 mins of play for killing one of their players twice. It's just a shame because there are so few servers i trust for a decent game and they are all coming out of the closet now.

TBH mate that was a little too presumptuous. It's not like there's not a healthy amount of over-zealous admins out there who won't kick for silly things.

I've had a fair few good rounds on GiFr, the admins are VERY strict on baserape and teamkilling (I got booted for one teamkill once, and considering he ran in front of fire I found that more than a little quick off the mark) - but not much experience with them being that frivolous. That said, haven't played on there in a while, although I love the Inf only aspect. Maybe they have some new admins that they should've thought twice about promoting?

Ye I remember being kicked on their server for "baserape". Never killed anyone on the sand (gib) - was top scorer tho so.....

It is best not to play as good as you possibly can I believe. It rarely happened to me, but my brother, who is like 15 years old gets banned from 5 servers in 2 different games a day for being top scorer.

Or just play on your own clans server and pillage them in style without worrying about overzealous admins :P

ah, so they are known for being overzealous... nice to hear. my point wasn't entirely to moan, more to point out that 'good', 'adminned' servers of a 'high standard' are also falling foul to the god-complex that admin rights seem to bring. oh well, it may have cut my #favourites by half, but mg won't go down i hope

GiFr are nice folks but they are insanely strict that you can't baserape or use vehicles. That means instant doom for PAC in Cerbere or Gibraltar :laugh:

Killed a guy running towards office ruins in Cerbere and got kicked for baseraping. Oh well
